Gary Luong is a New York licensed acupuncturist currently practicing at Chung Ying Physical Therapy & Acupuncture, located in the Financial District in NYC. He received his Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. With his strong experience working with patients across the age spectrum, Dr. Luong brings valuable expertise to the practice.

Dr. Luong is skilled at using orthopedic needling (myofascial needling, or trigger point release) for pain management. In addition to musculoskeletal pain conditions, Dr. Luong’s specialties also include digestive health, neurological conditions, sports injuries, post-operation rehabilitation, allergy, insomnia, depression, menopause syndrome, and weight management. He is also proficient in using adjunctive therapy, such as tui-na, cupping, press balls and needles, and electrostimulation of needles.

Dr. Luong is a dedicated acupuncturist who sees his patients holistically. He recognizes the connection between mind and body, and strives to track down the root of his patients’ symptoms through thorough assessments and active communication with his patients. Dr. Luong is bilingual in English and Cantonese. He encourages all his patients to ask questions and engage in conversations by providing a safe space for patients from all cultures. In the goal of providing the most effective course of treatment, Dr. Luong insists on personalizing treatment plans for each individual.
